Why is Pumpkin Spice so popular?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, chances are you’ve heard of the Pumpkin Spice craze that occurs yearly between August and November - one trip to your local coffee house should tell you all you need to know. You’ll see it in lattes and cappuccinos all over, but where did the whole Pumpkin Spice movement start? 

The original Pumpkin Spice was created in 1934, by a spice company called McCormick. It consisted of a blend of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice. Who knew that a simple spice mix for flavouring Pumpkin Pie, a traditional dessert this time of year, would turn into the Pumpkin craze we’re in now.

Pumpkin Spice Protein Pancakes

Protein Pancakes are a great way to satisfy your pancake craving, while adding some nutritional value. Most of the time, pancakes leave you feeling full for a short period of time, but within an hour or two, you’re hungry again. By adding in some protein, you still get to enjoy your pancakes, but the added Pumpkin Spice flavour and increased protein content will leave you feeling satisfied, and fuller for longer.


  • 1/2 Organic Quick Oats
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Scoop Canadian Protein Pumpkin Spice 100% Whey Isolate


Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee Protein Shake

An Iced Coffee Protein Shake is a refreshing drink to have when you need a little pick-me-up. This great tasting and healthy protein shake is perfect for post workout, or when you just need a little boost on the go! The prep is incredibly quick and easy; simply make your coffee, mix your ingredients in a blender, and you’re good to go!


  • 1 1/2 cups Ice Cubes
  • 3/4 cup Almond Milk

  • 1 cup Coffee, cooled
