Potential side effects

As with all new supplements, always consult your doctor before using any new products, and discontinue use immediately if you experience any adverse side effects. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should speak to their doctors before taking selenium, though it has been found to be safe for them, and beneficial in higher dosages. Pregnant women are advised to consume around 60 micrograms per day, whereas breastfeeding women are advised to consume around 70 micrograms per day. Though very safe, some users have experienced adverse side effects when using selenium supplements, especially when the recommended daily intake was exceeded. Potential side effects include the following:
