What is Diindolylmethane?
Diindolylmethane, or DIM for short, is naturally formed within the human body when we consume certain foods. Upon consumption of certain foods, this compound will really come into its own and make its presence felt. The chemical is formed within the digestive tract and is derived from a compound known as Glucobrassicin. Glucobrassicin is found naturally in cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower, which are all part of the brassica family, hence the name ‘Gluco-BRASSICIN’. As well as being produced when we consume these foods, DIM can also be ingested via supplement form, and it is becoming a very popular supplement as a result.
How does it work?
DIM works in many ways as it provides several health benefits, which is why it is so popular. With that being said however, some of the main benefits of DIM are its effect on Estrogen metabolism. DIM helps support healthy estrogen metabolism and helps to support/promote healthy hormonal balance. DIM also provides antioxidants that help protect cells against oxidative stress.
What are the benefits of using Diindolylmethane supplements?

Estrogen metabolism
DIM is also a fantastic supplement for women, as it has been found to enhance Estrogen metabolism, meaning that it can provide relief from the menopause, from premenstrual cramps, and from Estrogen deficiencies in general.
Healthy testosterone levels
Experts have also found that DIM can potentially help to regulate and balance testosterone levels within the body, resulting in slightly elevated levels of this hormone.
