Who here likes chocolate? Great, who here like peanut butter? Even better. So, who here would love a chocolate peanut butter protein bar? These protein bars are packed full of energy and slow-release carbs, making them a wonderful pre-workout snack, or simply a wonderful snack for keeping hunger at bay between meals. To make them you will need:
Ingredients:
- 2 scoops of chocolate whey protein
- ¼ cup of natural crunchy peanut butter
- A pinch of salt
- ¼ cup of rolled oats
- 2 tbsp of full-fat coconut milk
- 2 tbsp of natural honey
- 1 oz of 70% cocoa, or above, dark chocolate
Method:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all of your dried ingredients except for the dark chocolate
- Now, add the peanut butter, honey, and coconut milk, and mix to form a thick batter
- Pour the mixture into a Tupperware and freeze for one hour
- Remove from the freezer and cut the set mixture into squares
- Now, melt your chocolate and drizzle it over your bars if you want to get fancy, or just dunk them in there.
